Description
No matter how much work is put into your 1949-1951 Ford Pickup, if your engine won't start it doesn't mean much. These starters, brought to you by Mac's Auto Parts, fit all manner of 1949, 1950, or 1951 Ford Pickup. No more broken springs. 1932-1953 engines were equipped with a starter support bracket (51A-11140). This bracket is usually missing, but it is highly recommended that it be used to support the starter on the oil pan. For 49-50 Mercury & 49-53 Pick Up with cast iron bell housing you may have problems fitting the modern style starter drive past the flywheel. If you encounter this problem, we recommend that you replace the modern drive with an original style starter drive. As always, remember to trust Mac's Auto Parts for all your restoration needs.
