      Description

      The introduction of the powerglide transmission brought many changes to the 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953 and 1954 Chevrolet. The splash plus pressure lubrication engine partnered with the new automatic transmission to usher in a new era of driving ease. This pairing of engine and transmission brought hydraulic lifters, upgraded cams and pressurized oil pumps, Even the brake master cylinder is different. Eckler's Early Chevy now offers a brake master cylinder conversion kit that will allow use of a standard master cylinder with a Powerglide transmission. This kit comes with a clutch pedal shaft plug and locking pin as well as the threaded internal fittings that will transition your standard master cylinder lines to the junction on the brake booster.
