Your upper radiator hose carries warm coolant to the radiator to be cooled, and your lower radiator hose connects to the water pump, which pumps coolant back into the engine. As a radiator hose ages, the rubber may dry out, crack, collapse, or split. This can cause a coolant leak or a lack of coolant movement, which may lead to overheating and engine failure. It is a good idea to inspect your radiator hoses every time you're under the hood. If you notice your radiator hose leaking, it should be replaced as soon as possible. It is also good practice to replace them every few years regardless of use. Old radiator hose clamps may also fail, so it is a good idea to replace them when replacing hoses. Look at our other listings for clamps, and more hoses.
