      High-Performance Chevy Crate Engine. The BluePrint Engines Small Block Chevy Crate Engine is a deluxe dressed and carbureted model offering 436 horsepower and 443 feet per pound of torque. Designed for universal fit, this engine delivers impressive power and performance, making it a perfect choice for muscle car enthusiasts and builders looking for reliable performance.

      Construction and Appearance. Featuring a raw metal and matte black finish, this engine is crafted from high-quality components including aluminum heads, hydraulic roller camshafts, cast steel cranks, and hypereutectic pistons. It includes everything needed for a full engine assembly, from valve covers and a harmonic balancer to spark plugs, a fuel pump, and an HEI distributor. The aluminum intake manifold, however, will not clear a stock Chevrolet Corvette hood.

      Installation. This crate engine is a direct replacement, featuring a 4-bolt main with a 4-inch bore, 1-piece rear main seal, and stock-type crankshaft with a 3.750 stroke and 5.7-inch connecting rods. It is drilled and tapped for clutch linkage, making installation straightforward for vehicles that support this configuration.
