      Description

      Your hood safety latch on your 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, or 1981 Camaro is what bolts to the bottom of the hood and keeps it closed. If this were to rust or come undone, it is possible that your Camaro's hood could get loose and open while driving. This is a safety hazard, as well as chance of looking silly on the road. Rick's Camaros offers a nice chrome reproduction of the upper hood safety latch which bolts to the bottom of the Camaro hood. When the hood closes, the pilot bolt is caught by the hood opening mechanism and the hook on the mechanism catches the safety latch just in case the hood opening mechanism fails on your Camaro.
