The coil spring isolator is used to prevent noise from being transmitted from the coil spring to the chasis while driving. As you drive the coil spring will twist side to side, as a coil spring is just a torsion bar that has been made into a coil. As the coil moves in the coil pocket it will become noisy, the using the coil spring isolator in you 1982-2002 Camaro will make for a nicer and more comfortable ride.
