Description
Where’s The Wire?
Many of the lower radiator hoses we carry do have a spring in them; however, we supply several that don’t. The spring was originally installed in the hose to speed up the coolant fill operation during final assembly at the factory. The spring holds the lower hose open for the quick pressure fill of coolant. Once the El Camino is off the assembly line the spring has served its purpose. A properly operating cooling system no longer requires the spring after the assembly process. The normal state of a cooling system is a pressure condition; around 14 to 18psi. Always trust The El Camino Store for all your performance and restoration needs!
