Old, original springs will lose tension over time, causing the hood to drop slightly when it is open. Eckler's Firebird is happy to offer this high quality reproduction hood hinge, which will perfectly replace the original on your steel hood. Plated dull black, this hinge spring is 9-3/8 inches in length with 28 correct coils for specific spring rate on heavier SS hoods. Don't wait to replace your hood hinge springs, and get your hood operating cleanly and effectively.
