The thermostat will open at a lower temperature (180°F) than the standard Corvette (195°F) once the engine has fully warmed up. As a result, the coolant may go through the engine more quickly, thus lowering and maintaining your engine temperature. Lower temperatures will lead to less engine wear and more dependability.
