Your exterior door handle see temperature swings from hot to cold, abrasive wind and common wear from use. 1962, 1963, 1964 and 1965 Chevy II Nova door handles lose their chrome luster and often are prone to failure from fatigue and worn springs. Plus nothing looks worse against a freshly painted Chevy II or Nova than a pitted outside door handle. Rechroming or refinishing your exterior door handle may take care of cosmetic problems but will not eliminate stress fractures.
