This is due to possible leakage or cracks which can develop in the battery. Each battery is produced in high quality factory grade steel and is painted with a corrosion resistant black finish. We offer an original GM or quality reproduction battery tray for the best in quality and appearance. Replace your old corroded tray and keep your engine compartment safe. Stamped steel and are painted in a correct black primer finish.
