Description
The motor and transmission mounts in your 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, or 1979 Nova will need to be replaced after approximately every 50,000 miles, or if they become soaked from fluids like oil several times. From excessive use and abuse, the mounts get weak and will not secure your engine properly. The rubber from the original mounts can degrade and split, eventually leading to failure.
